big chicken that I am, I have avoided the moving of blog to the google thing. I have no idea what it entails and I don't want to know right now. Why do things have to change anyway? Pah and spit.

Nothing changes at all really - if you already have a gmail or googlemail account you use that account's details to log in. If you like you can get an account here: https://www.google.com/accounts/NewAccount
There's basically just some new stuff you can do with the newer version of blogger. See the tour: http://www.blogger.com/beta-tour.g
