8 am – Let Snackster out to have a mooch around as per usual.
10 am – Snackster scratches at the door and sounds a bit whiney. I go to door to let her in. She looks very upset and there, on the door step, amongst some goo is a puppy. I should say that I had been giving the pooch extra food recently and the slight weight gain I noticed was attributed to that. Not the fact that she was apparently pregnant. So, into the basket she went, I retrieve the one on the doorstep and soon more begin to follow.
At this point, pups are out, six in all. They are black, so look back in the blog and guess which one got to her. When they aren’t feeding, they make weird squeaking noises. Not like Eeek! But like the noise you get when you rub two balloons together, imagine the sound you hear when you walk past a guy making balloon animals in a shopping mall. The miracle of life is a bit gross and smelly. And I’m sure when they start walking barking howling and shitting everywhere the miracle will be even more evident.
They are kinda cute though, and poor Snackster has this rather bewildered look.
Today it was 24 degrees in the shade, 27 in the sun.
