Glasgow

back in Glasgow. it's a bit wet and dragging myself out of bed this morning was terribly unpleasant. Work wasn't so bad though. vague chaos ensued whilst I was away, but no fault of mine, as far as I can tell. which is good. it's only 6.30 pm and it's nasty and over cast. weirdly it's pretty though. I think I might have gone mad. :)

blog difficult with no Internet

Claiming to no have any internet is something of a lie actually. Mainly I was lazy. When we got to Durness I really didn't have any interwebs, for some reason my Asus would not connect via GPRS. Did some cool walks, saw the Smoo Caves, and got sand blasted as we tried to walk up to the MoD path out from Balnakeil. Really needed goggles for that. Here are some pics. My battery for my iXus 95 ran out and that was when we discovered that it has a different battery from the one SB has. I then went onto kill her battery too. Bad me.

Ullapool

In Ullapool. Seems very nice. The room at the Argyll House Hotel has a very nice view and a bookcase. First impressions are good.

we went for a bit of a cycle. weather hasn't been great, but it's been ok.

bike bike bike

last week I had a sort of birthday which was nice. lots of loot was had. :o) I actually avoided getting too hammered on the Saturday because I wanted to practice jumping my bike over stuff. A very nice George had given me some guidance on getting the thing into the air and whilst i'm still only getting about 6-8 cm off the ground, it's a start. My technique possibly sucks, but with a sucky technique, I'm doing not too badly. Picture below, including link to some of the efforts. Yes I do clip the bottles at one point, but it's only fair to show the screw ups as well as the relative successes. I think I'm not doing enough with the legs and weight distribution. If you can do this better, feel free to give advice.
