friday-tum tee tum

So it's Friday. Again. doing some work, experiments going well, I think. this could be a hasty claim, but... I have a good feeling about this.
Tomorrow is DJ tastic and armed with my collection of CDs all crammed into my rather sexy datasafe CD case (thanks Badger) and my less sexy but fully functional Executive Bolsa para CDs, I will be playing groovesome musica to subtly alter the minds of the innocent as they imbibe local lager served in small cool glasses.
I might have a haircut tonight, although we really don't know what is happening there.

what would an Executive be doing with 48 CDs? I supppose he/she/it could be a record executive. I neither know nor care.

you using that canvas bag?

I have been shopping online again. And I was looking at the last Skinny Puppy CD. On looking at the details just above the track list they had a “sponsored link”. Which was “Caring for your kitten”. Obviously we can see the mechanism by which this link is created, but even so. I would be very interested in a book titled “Taking care of the dog downstairs which won’t stop barking”. Nuff said guvner. Excuse me constable, which way is the river? Poor Snackie. Where’s that paté?

it's early, leave me alone

I have a whole heap of stuff to shower you in that would leave you feeling fulfilled and happy that you have the quality of internet conection that you have (no doubt lovely). Some of it is exactly a week old and includes amusing pirate hair colourants and oddly themed clocks. Sadly this is not here at this moment because the only thing I have to post includes that f**king Bi*ch wh*re dog which howls barks and generally makes the noises one would associate with a dog, in a bag, being thrown under the wheels of a truck, all f**king night. trust me, it is only a hairs breadth from confirmation. It is currently at the point that on the rare nights I have a "good nights sleep" I awake with the dark suspicion of one regaining conciousness after being drugged and transported many miles (possibly light years) from one's origin. The plan to paint car tyres with paté is no longer a joke. indeed it is a plausible conclusion to it's pointless life, as the ill trained little f**ker regularly runs infront of cars which, were it not for the inconvenience of hours of scraping, would readily run the bugger over. and that is my main point. "ill trained" . This is the fact that stops me from being vindictive and vengeful. It's a nice enough pooch. but the owner doesn't give a shit about it. and that is the tragedy here. But sooner or later I will snap. I am human. I have need of serotonin. If I don't get it, I become irrational. This might include paté and car tyres. but really, it's gone way beyond a f**king joke here.
oh, I've put on 3 kg from comfort eating...

order of the alphabet indeed...
quite mad :o)

Inconsistant programming

So, last night's dream (that I remember) was not the second part of my comedy drama. It was a very disappointing first person "lost something valuable and searching frantically for it whilst lamenting one's carelessness at putting it down".

I'm sure this is a standard dream genre.

So, I had been returning home from night out, in Glasgow, and as I passed through the 4 am market held on Union Street (doesn't actually exist) I became aware that I no longer had my GPS. After some frantic searching I found one the same model, but in black (mine is white) then I was concerned about the Iberia map card. In the process a man sold me some bananas and warned me to avoid the spotted squark, it has a ferocious bite apparently.

This is what happens when you go to bed early without the cheese and wine.

Oh, when I awoke my GPS was on the table and I wasn't in Glasgow!
Who'd have thought it?

I'm still looking for my bananas!

CMC TV

I’ve just woken from the most extraordinary dream. Or, more accurately described as an initial episode of a comedy drama (possibly a mini series) starring Michael Elphick and Beryl Reid.

It was all based in an unidentified northern German city, setting of a conference, caught in the grip of a freezing winter.
Most enjoyable it was. Dry humour, a few funny gags delivered by an interesting, talented and otherwise unknown cast.
There was a good scene where ME gets back to hotel room and BR confesses rather airily; “I’ve been reading your diary; looks like you owe someone an apology”. ME makes sexual ref then upon hearing the movement of a newspaper looks up to notice the doorman sitting up on the bed, fully clothed and drinking a freshly poured glass of wine.
Nice scene it was. Funny and beautifully lit.
Looking forward to tonight’s episode.
The half bottle of dão that no doubt inspired the script and casting is, over the year, about equivalent to a TV licence fee.

Actually, thinking about last night's eating habits it could have been fuelled but the Canadian mature cheddar that SB sent me. Which should see me to an eight episode mini series, no doubt ending in a cliff hanger which I shall attempt to compensate for with some locally produced cheese until SB arrives or sends more CMC.

Beautiful morning here

New understanding of a smile or subliminal suggestion?

I was looking for a heart rate monitor thing. I'm getting fat and apparently if you go over a certain rate, the blood speed is too fast and not enough oxygen gets to the tissue and you need oxygen to promote the breakdown of fat. So..
Looking here:

I saw that watch thing. Notice the time. Yes, 10:10, the smiley face of analogue watches and clocks on all 12 hour based time pieces. Except, does it really work on a digital display? Maybe subliminally it does...
Oh I feel all manipulated and clammy...

Damn song in my head and I can't sleep

I was first exposed to this song over a year ago by a guy I have known for years.

http://www.royksopp.com/videos/f-whatelseisthere.htm

This damned song turns over in my head and squeezes my heart just enough. It's a completely beautiful track with a gorgeous female vocal and has a fantastic video.

Thanks Colin.

Geek art T-Shirt Dream

I had this dream. It was a little weird

Small chemical solutions company
Financial trouble
Pack of T-Shirts (x 5), which I had received as a present from D, was sold on by the guy in the company
Grey one kept back
Similar in design to grey “Hardwear” T-shirt with a pin stripe design
The garment had an integral ratio computer based on the vertical lines of the individual wearer compared to stored data from an cross section of the population
The calculation criteria took the lengths and displacement from the vertical dimensions of certain parts of the torso, this would be the tangent of the angle formed. These were then compared to three other selectable ratios. The purpose being to illustrate that deviation from person to person was small.
A kind of shallow level geek art unification type thing.
In the dream, I had noticed that the default settings were all based on the wearer data and hence all 1:1:1:1

Cheese?

Swingtastic

Yesterday, two nice women came to my apartment to tell me about the miracle of Jesus. They had a little book with the same miracle in about 17 languages, sadly no English. I imagine they assumed I'd have heard it by now. I went to Porto AGAIN but this time at night. I almost chickened out and had bought the ticket to Braga but missed the train by mistake on purpose. I got the metro, which was weird, and went for a beer or two in a small café bar thing near the griffins. From here, I went up to swing which turned out to be in the basement of the centro comercial Italia, which I had gone to the previous week looking for places for weird clothes. The music was good, spoke to about three people which sounds like a quiet night, but it's a goth club, so it was three more than I expected to talk to. Oh, I also had my card declined when I went to pay my bar bill. A big thanks and round of applause to Caixa Geral who shut down their system for a few hours every weekend. I think they are running it on a ZX spectrum.

The proof!!
Maybe they are afraid the powerpack will overheat.
