I had a weird dream where I was travelling to Glasgow by train and had to buy a ticket on board.

Having handed over £5, I was alarmed to receive a pair of mid blue trainer socks as change.

I remember looking at them thinking "that's not right", checking them, as one would check your change, then realising, "No, that's right".

I thanked the conductor and sat down.

Not to accelerate the need for, but

Not to tempt fate or anything, but why do death notices so frequently request "No Flowers" at the funeral?

If at any point in the future I require your attendance at such an event, assassination or something might interfere with my planned immortality I suppose, please note I want flowers. Tonnes of the buggers. preferably lillies, the stargazer's smell fantastic! But don't hold back, roses, rare orchids, hell if you feel "He'd have liked a rubber plant" so be it. Can you have a service in the botanic gardens? Let's not get away from the solemnity, none of that it should be a party, a celebration of his life. I want wailing and weeping. If no one really cares, then spend a few quid on professional mourners, but don't cut too far into the flower fund.
One last thing, if anyone suggests playing "always look on the brightside" I want their life force & whatever organ I need.

Bloody hate that chirpy optimism.

Não tenho billeto para Infest :o( (edited)

Ok, some of the title will be wrong, please correct me.
So, Not in Bradford this weekend. So what did I do? Why I went to Porto of course!
Two things were of interest, finally there was some electro at Heaven's (apparently) and there was a cool thing at Fabrica do Som. First Stop was Heavens because, A) They have a minium drink €5 policy but B) No entry fee. oh yes my pretty darlings, the politics of drinking in this fair city. So, like a true child of Withnail, down to Heaven's which, from the info opens at 22.00...

Oh NO it doesn't.

I have to admit, I kind of like it's sleazy position in town. But (don't frown), it would be nicer with more of a buzz ala Glasgow Cathouse circa 1990 in Brown Street.
Brown Street was a bit scary in that you had to enter the RLD (Red Light District) to get to your destination. The point was, you got to the door, and because of all the other beautiful people, you felt safe.

Right in THE middle of the RLD. However, here we have no buffer zone. It's quiet when I turn up too, and it's hot, and the street is a little ripe. But at least something is buzzing.
So NOT open at 22.00 so I go and find a café bar. For me this place was a bit scary. Kind of Denniston café scary. Imagine being in a café in Haghill at 10.30 pm. Imagine how aware you are that you have not yet made a will...

Coffee, fantastic! Beer, perfect temperature. So don’t judge a book by its erm, errr ah. Just don’t!

There is a lot more. I’ll finish this tomorrow. We have tales of the prostitute that felt compelled to say hello because I had passed her three time, short dialogue on navigating via GPS in deprived areas. And a massive rant on how nice this wine and paté is.

Been sitting about, should be doing stuff but the brain won't work. So I've been listening to music and checking lyrics of music I really like.

Makes me want to be in Scotland with the stripy one.

I’ve just watched Underworld Evolution, and oh my God! It’s a rather gore happy one and a half hours. One criterion was obviously imposed over and above all others, and that was to make it gory. Really, did they get a discount on vats of pig’s blood or something? Apart from that young Katie B. makes a delightful widdle vampire, what’s not to like? Rubber, corsetry, blue eyes, aahhhh.
Yes, she is small, but her steely glare would still frighten the pants off you. I was going to add a picture but can I get my computer to screen capture?
Still, it makes me want to get into the leathers, and be all cyber-goth. Walking around, pretending that the shadow is your only sanctuary.
I was going to watch “The third man” but now I want more wampyres.
Maybe I can find sesame street on you tube to calm me down.
Why did they always count to twelve on sesame street?

Try this at home

I noticed with some concern last night that my neighbours, like Elvis, had left the building. Not just popped down to the shops, everything in boxes and off they went. So, just me and imaginary friend as the sole occupants. We looked at each other and sulked a little.
However, it has struck me that as they never popped in with cake or home made biscuits there are only advantages to their departure. Mainly that of how much noise you can make when you know you aren't disturbing anyone. and with that, I should mention Control Alt Deus again because you really will not believe how good the tracks Reaktor and Not My Saviour sound at the mind melting volume I have right now. So, if you are at home, have a word with the neigbours, harsh if necessary, get the buggers to move out, and click on the link above.

electrocution:ignite

Went to the electrocution:ignite festa in Azeitão on Friday and Saturday. Being fair to everyone, there were some sound problems but a very enjoyable weekend. Thanks to all that I met and hung out with. Oh, Control Alt Deus… Fantastic!!! Give them a clicky and listen to some of their tracks on the myspace site. Nicey nicey nice, but terribly evil too. REALLY GOOD.

sleepy

Argh! It’s 3 AM. Had a weird day. For some reason there seems to be a lot of dead cats lying around, which nearly pushed me over the edge. One was quite near the apartment and was freaking Snackie and down stair’s cat, so I had to move it. Fun fun fun.
Not making it to Infest this year, which is annoying as VNV and Apop are playing. Bums. So, this weekend I’m going to elektrocution-ignite, near Lisbon for a Portuguese electro festival. Should be fun.
